Women's Welfare Officer, 2018-19

Hello I'm Shoomie, a third-year medic here at Peterhouse, and your Women's Welfare Officer for 2018/19. Together with Matt, the Men's Welfare Officer, I am here for you no matter what. Whether you're stressed about an essay, struggling with mental health, worried about a friend, or perhaps feeling a little lonely during your first few weeks - I am your gal. Catch me around Peterhouse, send me an email, drop me a note in my Pidge, message me on Facebook...whatever works best for you. Matt and I both host weekly Welfare Hours and regular drop in sessions (Fudge Fridays are a thing) in addition to termly stress-relieving events, such as the Welfare Massages we ran during the last exam season. Most importantly, in collaboration with Ada, the Women & Marginalised Genders Officer, I strive to ensure that all women and non-binary people at Peterhouse feel safe, valued and important.
